What is THESIS?
THESIS, created and developed by TSC, is a performance assessment system that guides retailers and suppliers to benchmark, quantify, and take action on critical sustainability issues within their consumer product supply chains.
THESIS assessments are made up of sets of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that assess transparency and performance on the most pressing sustainability issues for consumer goods companies.

How does THESIS relate to other sustainability initiatives or certifications?
THESIS aligns with widely-used certifications, standards, and tools and is designed to support existing reporting efforts while offering deeper insight. More than 600 Certifications, Standards, and Tools are referenced in our KPI Guidance. The Background Information section of the KPI Guidance provides supplementary resources that you can reference to learn more about the issue.
TSC Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) measure performance across the entire supply chain at a product category level, which is different from sustainability measurement systems that focus on an organizational, factory, farm, limited issue, or product level. If included in the Guidance section for a KPI, it was determined to be a ready-to-use resource that can assist in the KPI calculations.
